A shout-out for the daughter of friends and fellow CCOC alumna: Sophia Perlman has just released her first cd, Once Smitten, with her jazz band The Vipers. She has also formed a smaller group, The Sophia Perlman Trio. This 21 year old's sultry voice and professionalism have been gaining media momentum for a while now, and for good reason: she has true talent, she's intelligent, and she has musical integrity. Sophia is also responsible for leading jazz fans to various other Toronto gigs via her column in WholeNote Magazine (see link in the sidebar).
